SALVATION- HOW DO I GET SAVED?
I just posted on YouTube a video about Salvation. This is what it is all about....
Believe it or not, Salvation is one of the toughest topics to present. The reason for this is that almost everyone out there thinks they are saved. So it's like "What do you mean if I'm saved? Of course I am. I believe in God!" After all, they have a religion, or the family goes to church, etc. Well, there is a difference between knowing what God did and accepting or receiving it. God is calling out to people all the time, even after being rejected time and time again. Salvation is a gift; you either accept it or not. As simple as that. We are living in difficult times, and even though, yes, people have been hearing about Jesus' coming for a loooong time, it doesn't mean it's not true or that it is not going to happen. And we should rather be safe than sorry. Right?
So what do we do? I can only hope that if you are taking the time to read this, is because God is calling you to Him. OK. So...you know about God's sacrifice. You do. Right? He sent his ONLY son to take YOUR sin and DIE in the cross for YOU. God knew that none of us will ever be able to be free of sin AND be willing to die that HORRIBLE death to save ourselves, much less others. It had to be the PERFECT lamb with the PERFECT love: That is JESUS. So what is left for you to do? You should accept the GIFT, because that gift means eternal life for you. Without a doubt, the Bible says that we HAVE TO accept Jesus as our Savior in order to receive salvation. This is not just about knowledge. We need to recognize what He did, accept it, and live a life that proves that God is our Lord. All eyes are on people that claim to be Christians. That is why we have to live on the "straight and arrow". We represent God on Earth. And if we sin? Well, the Bible says that we have a tremendous lawyer at the right hand of the Father interceding for us, our High Priest.
So if you have never made the commitment to serve God and be saved, or if you went cold because of all the trials and problems on Earth, then ACCEPT him for the first time or RENEW your pact with HIM. But whatever you do, be ready when He comes. God bless you.
